It’s Friday, Friday…

Never been this relieved to get to Friday….this week kicked my butt- while my job is fun, sometimes it can get very needy and stressful. What keeps me going is Fridays, and the ability to live comfortably and keep buying shoes from my paycheck. Hey, we all gotta find something to make this life worth living.

So yesterday was fun! Fun that I had to go on FB to find out one of my great-aunts passed last week. For some reason because I live the farthest away, no one in my family thought to call me with the news.

My great-aunt is my father’s aunt and all this while I didn’t know she never married, her last name on her obituary is the same as mine- that’s a family mystery because she has 4 children and at the time she was young, (she was 96 when she died) there’s no way in Nigeria she would have been able to get away being a single mother. Curious.

My weekend is going to be fun as I have a date tomorrow. I’ve been going out on several dates lately and enjoying myself in the process- it’s great when you can hang out with someone just for fun with no expectations- then slowly get to know each other. My son wants to see Harry Potter on Sunday (yes we’re Potter fans what of it?) and I’m taking Monday off to relax.
